New Patient Guide: What to Expect on Your First Visit
Before You Arrive: Complete Your New Patient Paperwork
To ensure you are seen on time, please complete your new patient paperwork online before your appointment. A thorough health history is the first step in an accurate diagnosis, so please do not skip any sections. This allows our doctors to review your case before you even step into the exam room.
Clinical Evaluation
Your first chiropractic visit is a 45-minute comprehensive assessment. We believe that to get the best results, we must first have the best information. During this visit, you will undergo:
- The Consultation: A detailed, one-on-one discussion of your health history, current pain points, and long-term wellness goals. We listen first so we can treat effectively.
- Physical Assessment: A physical evaluation to identify structural shifts, postural imbalances, and functional limitations that may be contributing to your symptoms.
- Diagnostic Imaging: To ensure the highest level of chiropractic safety, we utilize on-site digital X-rays if your evaluation indicates the need. Seeing the internal structure of your spine allows us to identify the exact cause of your discomfort, whether it’s a recent injury, a structural misalignment, or long-term degeneration.
You’ll schedule a follow-up visit to review the results of your clinical evaluation and receive your first treatment so we can see how your body responds to care.
After your follow-up visit, we’ll schedule a visit to discuss:
- The Source: What is causing your pain or dysfunction.
- The Solution: Which specific chiropractic techniques we will use to correct it, and any additional services (like soft tissue therapy or decompression) we recommend to aid in your treatment.
- The Timeline: How long your individualized care plan will take to achieve lasting results.
- The Financials: We believe in total transparency. Our team will provide a clear breakdown of your insurance coverage and any out-of-pocket costs. We will verify your benefits during your visit so you can make an informed decision about your care with no financial surprises.

New Patient FAQs
Does your office accept insurance?
Yes, we are in network with all major insurance companies in the area. When you come in for your exam, be sure to bring your insurance card so that we can verify your benefits.
What if I don't have insurance?
We offer affordable self-pay rates and flexible payment plans to ensure that financial concerns never stand in the way of your health.
Will I get an adjustment on the same day as the evaluation?
We prioritize safety above all else, which is why we typically wait until our chiropractors have fully reviewed your exam and X-ray results before performing your first adjustment. This approach ensures your care is precise, effective, and tailored to your specific anatomy. If you are in acute pain, we can often utilize other soothing modalities during your initial visit to help you feel more comfortable while we finalize your clinical findings.
Why do I have to have X-rays taken?
Our office manages patients using spinal corrective care. Therefore, we treat each patient based on the position and misalignments present in their spine. Not only do the images help us provide highly specific treatment, but they can also give us vital information about previous injuries.
Your Rights: The No Surprises Act
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- Good Faith Estimate: You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
- Timeline: If you schedule a service at least 3 business days in advance, we will provide an estimate in writing within 1 business day.
- Dispute Rights: If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
